New wall sconces for the staircase

Today I have another post for you about an update that I made before heading out on our trip to Germany. For a long long time I have been wanting to replace our old and outdate staircase fixtures and I found what I was looking for in this Kenroy Endicott Sconce:

I hated the paintable ugly eighties fixtures we had there before. The lighting was terrible and the look outdated:

Yuck, nice and dirty too!

I had to replace two of these scones and they were really easy to switch out. As easy as matching up the same colored wires and screwing them in place.
Unfortunately the hallway is so dark when I turn off the electricity since there aren't any windows that I couldn't take any photos. I had to use a flash light to install them. But my friend Jennifer at The Chronicles of Home recently installed some outdoor sconces and wrote a great little tutorial on how to do it (click HERE to read). That's pretty much exactly what I did. So easy.

Our hallway also contains our family gallery wall where I add a photo of each kid every year.

Lilly-cat was suspiciously eyeballing my installation.

And the Endicott Sconce has much better lighting:

Now I'm craving color like crazy in this staircase and I wish that I'd have ordered all photos in color as well so I could easily switch them out. Maybe I'll make myself the work and try to find all the originals in color. It's a lot of work though!

Or maybe I'll hang a pretty colorful DIYed tassel from these gorgeous sconces? That would be fun too.

(This is not a sponsored post but I received this product from Kenroy Home. All opinions are 100% my own!)

Don't you think they are the perfect addition and update to our staircase? I'm so happy with them and thankful to Kenroy Home for providing me with the Endicott Sconces.

A Gorgeous New Gold Faucet

Hi friends! I'm happy to tell you that I safely arrived in Germany. I'm exhausted and will now try to work myself into the time difference with the kids.

Before I left home though I received a gorgeous present in the mail and couldn't wait to install it. So in-between a messy house and packing suitcases, I was crazy enough to install a new faucet. (This is not a sponsored post but I received this product from Delta Faucet Company. All opinions are 100% my own!) Yup you hear me right but I just couldn't wait until I got back.

During my trip to Delta Faucet Company, I was informed that I would receive one of their Trinsic Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucets with Touch2O® Technology. I picked the champagne bronze and I am so happy that I did. It's so gorgeous and matches the Ikea knobs that I recently added perfectly.

Are you ready for some photos?

I can't stop touching it and my kids really loved washing their hands in the kitchen before we left for our trip. It's the coolest thing to just be able to touch a faucet to turn it on. Magic!!!!

But during our trip to the Delta Faucet Company we learned that it isn't magic but amazing technology that goes into this incredible product. It was so interesting to get behind the scene insights to everything that goes into inventing such an amazing kitchen fixture.

Here is a view of the Ikea knobs:

During our trip to Delta I had the chance to install one of them already, do you remember? If not you can click here to see.

It is a breeze to install this Delta faucet. I was dealing with a huge time crunch here since I was packing for our trip but it was totally doable. Easy and fast.

All you have to do is follow the illustrated instructions. I'm a visual person and picture instructions are perfect for me.

This faucet is the perfect functional and pretty addition to our white kitchen, don't you think so?

Talk to you on Friday with another pet post and hopefully by next week I can share some Germany photos with you.
