Spring Parade of Homes

Hey everyone! This week we are having some spring home tours with some amazing blogger. Check for links at the bottom of this post.

Even if you have been following me and you read all my posts. This tour will have some new photos and spring editions for example in my dining room.

Did you see my new pillows on Instagram that I won from Danielle Oakey? It is from the Etsy store Bright and Bold Designs. Isn't the chartreuse graphic print gorgeous?

My hallway

Love my new spray painted copper pot and snake plant.
I've only showed it on Instagram so far as well.

Our kitchen, I'm going to show off our new backsplash next week:

Looking way way back

How was your weekend. We finally had spring in the air and it felt so so good. I was able to spray paint something outside. Yay! Good times!

Today I want to do something totally different. I went through some old slides of my parents and found photos of their apartment shortly before I was born.

I love looking at the photos and the 70s style. Yup I was born in the seventies.

My parents still have some of the furniture. Remember their house crash post from last summer? You can recognize a lot of things. Click HERE if you want to see their home and the place I grew up in.

Check out my mom:

I recently asked them if they still had the dining room light fixture somewhere. They had it in our house for the longest time too and it was gold glass. Bummer, they got rid of it :(

Check out that wallpaper!!!

They also still have the sideboard and two of those dining chairs but in a different fabric. I love this red orange way better though.

They still have the red wingback chair but it is blue velvet now and most of the brass lamps are still there too.

My mom is putting her feet on a leather pouf. Love it.

They always had a thing for library walls.

And we always had a fully stashed bar cart just like you can see below.

Blue upholstery and marble coffee table. Got to love it!
The brass bucket is still with them as well and it's one of my favorite pieces ever. It used to belong to my dad's grandmother, palm tree and all.

What is an odd style is having the thick silk drapery all the way to the floor but short sheer curtains over the windows.

I hope you enjoyed this short little trip in time and I also hope my parents forgive me for sharing this on the blog. Well I think they don't mind.

One more thing remember I told you on Friday that I'm participating in a spring home tour series this week? It starts today and I'm up on Wednesday.

So head on over to today's tours and pay the ladies a visit:

Wednesday: Bigger Than the Three of Us / Me ;)  / Just a Girl and Her Blog

Thursday: Rain on a Tin Roof / May Richer Fuller Be

Friday: An Inviting Home / Primitive and Proper / Place of My Taste
