So back to the "Dishtowel Canvas Art". I'm sure you are wondering what the heck that means! And I'm telling you that is what the DIY feather art is that I shared with you on Friday (click HERE to see the post). I said it was ridiculously easy and it is.
I will actually hang this in our bedroom because I love it so much.
Here is what I did. I had bought a feather dishtowel from H&M and I'm so sorry to tell you that I can't find it online anymore. Bummer! But I'm still going to share with you what I did because they have a big selection of gorgeous dishtowels.
All I did was use the dishtowel stretched and stapled over an 18"x24" art canvas which I bought on sale at Joann's Fabric. The dish towels are around $6 and the canvas was also $6. So I paid about $12 for the artwork. The reason why I used art canvas is that it helps to have a white solid background behind the towel to keep it from being somewhat transparent.
I think that I will make another one with this beautiful owl dishtowel:

And here are a few more that I adore:
And you could even take this a step further by applying a little color with some fabric paint.
So simple, right? And cheap.
That was it for today short and painless ;)
Hope you like it.
