Thank you for coming over to our house!

I'm currently redoing our house tour page, so this is a little sneak peek!

Can you believe that I found that brass and glass dining room table at an auction for $25.
That was 16 years ago and I still love it. Auctions are the best!

The chandelier is from Germany and a replica of the very popular Cellula Chandelier.
I got this one for 80 Euros.

Since this photo I added a backsplash and a new stove. Click HERE to see and read more.
And I love our kitchen pendant light. Isn't it great?

This is our new downstairs hallway,

    1. Hi Samara, I bought those about 15 years ago at Bombay company and painted them a bright white a couple of years ago. Sorry that I can't help you with a shopping link. I'm a huge fan of pedestal tables too.

  7. Julia ~ I just toured the photos of your home and it is lovely! I was smiling because we seem to have a lot in common. I too was born overseas, prefer kitty cats over dogs, have the same rug in my living room as you do and a daughter named Lily. Glad I found your blog and just became a new follower! Have a great day!

    1. Hi Brooke, the rug is an older West Elm rug and I don't think they have it anymore. I have had it for at least 4 years now. And yes, it's a true brown and cream.

  18. Your home is beautiful! Even though I live in a fairly large home, I agree that small living can be beautiful and preferable to living large. My husband travels to Germany 3-4 times a year for his job and we love the European lifestyle. We often talk about down-sizing but just can't find the right thing in the right school district. When the kids are out of the house we will down size for sure -- living in a large home creates a lot of upkeep and extra expense!

I can see why you get homesick for Germany (I read your bio page) ...it is such a beautiful country with wonderful people.

I found your site from your post on Blogtalk about the pumpkin link up and I will be back! Have a great day!

  28. I keep coming back to your home tour for inspiration. I'm a fan of white walls and bright art, which best describes my place, but you really motivate me to be bolder and try new things. I love your wall treatments and the polka dot ceiling is sheer perfection!!
