All I got done was getting the kids backpacks ready for their first day of school today (they already missed two days) and I unpacked all the suitcases, except half of mine. We tackled some laundry but guess what, we might need a new dryer, great timing isn't it?
I also think I might have the greatest pet sitter ever. I was floored to find a "ready to bake" casserole in the fridge for us, because she figured that we were too tired to cook. How awesome is that? She didn't only take great care of our furry children and plants, nope she took great care of the house, put fresh flowers on the table and cooked us food. Now that's special treatment, isn't it?
That said, we didn't need to cook but the hubby went out grocery shopping while I was unpacking so the kids could pack lunch.
My big mistake was that I laid down on the bed to give the kitties some loving. I had missed them soooo much while we were gone and they obviously missed me too since they all came and snuggled with me. It's still hard for me to say the 3 girls because I miss our number 4, aka King Harry. The next picture shows kinda what we were doing:
Needless to say that I fell asleep. I was just too tired from getting up at 3a.m., traveling and having a sore throat and a hoarse voice didn't help either.
So all good intentions to write a great post, finish unpacking and all the other things I wanted to get done went out the window and I just slept. Only got up for 10 minutes to say good night to the kiddos who had no problem still playing in their room. The hubby put them to bed.
But I think it was a good idea because the sore throat is gone this morning and I feel much better. I'm sitting here now writing this post with the cats piled on top of my leg, fresh coffee and candles burning. Couldn't get any better!
Well that's a lie...it can totally get better than that because I am so super excited, to the point of wanting to go outside carrying a billboard that says: "Hey I'm being house crashed by Young House Love". (click HERE to see it)
And I know that I don't have to tell any blogger out there who Sherry and John are! But people like my parents who read my blog have no clue. So let me tell you dad (Vadder) this awesome feature really pushes being sad to have left your house into the far background. It is the push I need right now to get back to DIY blogging full force.
And I have lots of things that I want to get done this fall, so stay tuned!
I also welcome all the new readers and I hope you will look around and stay a while (click HERE to see my projects page, HERE for my Before & Afters page and I have several other pages to click on in my header ;). If you like what you see then you can click any of my buttons to stay in touch. It sure would make my day even better!
Thank you so much for coming over!
Talk to you soon.
